HOMOPHONES
Homophones are by there, sorry 'their', nature deadly. Unlike other spelling errors Homophones will not be picked up by your computers spell check. Why? Because their words that sound the same but are spelled differently. Take 'bear' and 'bare' for example, mix up the spelling here and you might not see your mistake, but someone else will.
The only way to avert disaster is to learn the differences between the most commonly used Homophones (click here for a basic course) and have a list handy in case you forget.
